This painting sits in a beautiful distressed frame, ready to hang!
This painting is my take on the myth of Medusa. I wanted to show the famous snake-haired creature as the beautiful, mortal maiden she was before her unjust punishment turned her into a monster. In this way, I consider this painting my own little feminist interpretation of the myth.
It is difficult to capture in the photo, but the gold details are actually glittering/shimmering in the light.
The actual paper painting measures approximately 3.75 inches by 5.5 inches, cut to fit this particular frame. With the frame, the piece measures 7.5 inches by 10 inches. With frame, the piece measures about 1/2 an inch thick.

The painting is varnished to preserve it’s original condition.
The frame is in (purposefully) “distressed” condition. Please refer to photos.
